    Jogger finds dead man on creek trail

    On June 26, a woman jogging on Los Gatos Creek Trail reported finding a dead body on the trail, just south of E. Main Street. Police closed down the trail while the body was taken to the county coroner's office.

    The coroner confirmed that the man was Randall Mark Sams, 46, of Los Gatos. The probable cause of death was dilated cardiomyopathy-- a disease resembling heart failure in which the blood vessels are weakened. The official cause of death will be confirmed pending results of toxicology tests.

    Daves Avenue School traffic meeting held

    On July 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, Los Gatos will hold a public meeting to discuss the traffic study of Winchester Boulevard and Daves Avenue. The meeting, at the Daves Avenue School auditorium, will include discussion on proposed traffic safety improvements for a traffic consultant's evaluation.

    Local nudist club welcomes public to its open house

    Lupin Naturist Club, a clothing-optional resort in the hills above Los Gatos, will hold an open house on July 14 and 15. The open house is part of the national Nude Recreation Weekend, sponsored by the American Association for Nude Recreation.

    First-time visitors who pre-register will be allowed in at no charge; return visitors must pay $12.50. For more information, call Lupin at 408.353.2250.
