Police Report
Unstable Person--June 30, 10:17 a.m. On Millbrae Lane, a man was trying to stab himself because he was distraught over his marital problems. His 10-year-old and 14-year-old children were in the house. The man went outside to meet police and was taken to Emergency Protective Services, where he was arrested and then taken to Valley Medical Center.
Assault/Battery--July 2, 12:47 p.m. In the Baker's Square parking lot, people reported seeing a man beating a woman. When police arrived, the man was gone and the woman was uncooperative. She was taken to Valley Medical Center and charged for being under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest. A man at the 7-Eleven on E. Main Street matched the description of the suspect, but was found to be the wrong person. The couple's car was towed, and a report was filed.
Domestic Violence--July 2, 3:29 p.m. The suspect from the Baker's Square parking lot beating was spotted on Blossom Hill Road. Fire personnel saw him walking down Garden Hill Drive toward Ivy Hill Way, where he jumped a hill on Ivy Hill Way to the Highway 17/Lark Avenue off-ramp. He was arrested on a no-bail Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department warrant for possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license and a $5,000 Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office warrant for being under the influence of drugs.
Warrant Served--July 2, 11:24 p.m. At Lark Avenue and Winchester Boulevard, four people were loading boxes into a pickup truck from the Goodwill trailer. The woman in the group was arrested; she had a $10,000 warrant from the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department for being under the influence of drugs.
Person Down--July 3, 9:31 p.m. A motorcycle went down at Los Gatos Boulevard; no accident caused it to happen. The motorcyclist was diabetic and was suffering from hypertension and dementia. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Drunk in Public--July 4, 10:53 a.m. A man was standing in front of the Safeway on Union Avenue with the manager of the store. The man was shaking and throwing up, and possibly was having a seizure, perhaps due to a head injury. The man was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for detoxification and dehydration treatment.
Stolen Vehicle--July 4, 5:49 p.m. A Los Gatos resident called police from Arizona. A friend of the resident's son had taken the resident's car when he left the home earlier in the day. A co-worker of the reporting party had witnessed the 15-year-old taking the car. Police were unable to locate it, and a report was taken.
Domestic Violence--July 4, 11:10 p.m. Neighbors heard a woman yelling "Don't touch me" and "Leave me alone," as well as the sound of things being thrown, near Old Orchard Drive. Police located the subjects on Belblossom Drive. The man, who was abusing the woman, was arrested for spouse beating, holding the woman against her will and destroying telephone equipment. Police called a judge to obtain an emergency protective restraining order against the man.
Ride Needed--July 5, 12:28 a.m. A 15-year-old called her parents, who lived in Los Gatos. She said she was at a party and couldn't find a ride home because her driver was drunk. She didn't know the address of the house where the party was held. Her parents attempted to call her back, but the number was busy. They called Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department for advice. The police found that the house was in Santa Cruz County, and had the parents contact Santa Cruz police.
