    LGUSD recognizes its special employees

Before the close of the 1999-2000 school year, the Los Gatos Union School District honored four hard-working employees who go above and beyond as "Distinguished Employees."

Those recognized were Misty Hartung, a special education and resource teacher.

Phil Eccles, the LGUSD's groundskeeper, was awarded for not only his fine workmanship on school grounds, but his time spent on two LGUSD committees on top of being a student himself.

Donna Dorsey, the executive secretary to the superintendent, was selected for the extra mile she puts in to help her colleagues, often beyond the hours of eight to five.

And finally, Linda Nanez, a first grade teacher at Van Meter School, was recognized for helping new teachers.
