The project for which Katoscapes received recognition was the outdoor pool and entertainment areas of the Waitte residence, a 104-year-old Los Gatos Historical Home on Glenridge Avenue. Kato and his crew created a customized brick patio, metal and wood arches with an Old World flavor, a brick-and-stone patio with wood trellises, a children's play area, a dog play area and room for a perennial garden. Katoscapes has won more than 50 local and state awards for residential gardens in the 14 years that Kato has been competing.
