Chamber holds breakfast forum The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce is hosting a business breakfast forum at the Toll House Hotel at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29. Los Gatos High School's new principal, Trudy McCulloch, will speak on partnerships in education; Councilmember Joanne Benjamin will discuss market economics in Russia; and Marilyn Johnson, vice president and branch manager of Washington Mutual Bank, will speak on student savings accounts. Cost of the breakfast is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Santa Cruz Ave. Garden Tour contributions The 1998 Los Gatos Spring Garden Tour committee has announced the distribution of proceeds from this year's tour. A total of $4,500 was contributed. Recipients and amounts are: * Live Oak Day Care Center (Activities for Seniors in Los Gatos) --$625; * Live Oak Nutrition Center (meals for seniors in Los Gatos)--$625; * A Place for Teens (activities for teenagers in Los Gatos)--$1,000; * InnVision (shelter for women in San Jose) --$1,000; and * Santa Maria Urban Mission (food, clothing and medical aid distribution for the needy in San Jose)--$1,250.
