Lisa E. Aguiar brings several years of law experience to her new job
LG attorney joins an established Bay Area firm
Los Gatos resident Lisa E. Aguiar has recently joined the firm of Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel Inc., a San Jose-based law firm that has specialized in corporate law and litigation since 1952. Aguiar will serve in Employment Law Practice, one of the firm's divisions, and will focus exclusively on employment advice and counsel. Prior to joining Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, Aguiar was a partner with Employment Rights Attorneys; she also had her own practice.
She is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, California Employment Lawyers Association and National Employment Lawyers Association and is licensed to practice law in all California courts and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Aguiar holds bachelor's degrees in history and business economics from Santa Clara University and a doctorate from the McGeorge School of Law. In the past, she has served as a panelist and lecturer for a number of employment law training programs and seminars held by the California Employment Lawyers Association and National Employment Lawyers Association.
She also served as a lecturer for the California Continuing Legal Education of the Bar and McGeorge School of Law. Among the most recent topics she's focused on are sexual harassment, diversity issues and hiring.
