    Police Report

    Disturbance--July 12, 3:10 p.m. An 83-year-old patient was upset that he couldn't go home and started throwing things at the staff. Although staff members and social services personnel were trying to restrain him, he threw a medicine cart. Finally the staff was able to subdue him. No report was taken.

    Battery--July 13, 3:31 a.m. A man went to a home on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. He was jumped near the entrance and beat up by several people. Although he had cuts and scrapes on his face, he refused medical help. He would not give any information to police and did not want their help either.

    Unstable Person--July 13, 3:48 p.m. A 75-year-old Pinehurst Avenue resident refused to answer the front door. The resident was thought to be disoriented and unkempt, suffered from skin ulcers and was covered in urine. Police managed to take the senior to emergency protective services. A report was taken.

    Disturbance--July 15, 9:38 a.m. A woman was walking in front of the Kinko's on Los Gatos Boulevard, yelling obscenities. Police confronted her and arrested her for resisting arrest and for possession of marijuana. Her car was towed.

    Driving Under the Influence--July 16, 12:13 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was at a gas station on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. The man who drove the car got out and urinated in front of the women's bathroom at the gas station. He then left and parked in the Alain Pinel parking lot across the street. Police arrested the man for driving under the influence.

    Theft--July 16, 12:46 p.m. A juvenile was caught shoplifting and videotaping at the Nob Hill on Los Gatos Boulevard. He tried to run when he was caught, but a store employee caught him and passed him along to the manager. The manager said that the boy was being cooperative. Police advised the youth not to go back to the store, and they notified his parents. The incident was a juvenile prank, and no report was taken.

    Burglary--July 18, 9:37 p.m. Someone reported to the police that several kids had broken into a Becky Lane home, drinking and smoking marijuana. The residents were on vacation and their children were not home. The suspects were actually friends of the children, although the children themselves weren't home. The residents were notified. No report was taken.

    Family Disturbance--July 18, 11:08 p.m. A Downing Oak Court resident said there was a fight at the neighbor's house. In actuality, the neighbor was on the phone with PG&E and yelling at them because they had shut off his power. No report was taken.
