Police arrest two at salon for prostitution

    By Leigh Ann Maze

Two women at Hair Vision, a hair-and-nail salon on N. Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos, were arrested July 27 on charges including conspiracy, pandering, pimping and maintaining a house of prostitution.

As of July 28, Julie Truong, 40, of Los Gatos and Diana Ngo, 40, of San Jose, were being held in the Santa Clara County Jail.

The women were arrested following a recent investigation by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department and the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team, a regional multi-agency task force specializing in narcotics, violent crime and other specific crime problems.

While a legitimate hair and nail business was operating in the front of the store, there was evidence of out-call prostitution going on in the back, according to Sgt. Kerry Harris with the LG-MSPD. It is unclear how many people are involved.

A search warrant was obtained and special agents found customer lists, documents and large quantities of cash in the salon.

The investigation is continuing, Harris said. Members of the community with any additional information on this case are asked to call the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department Investigations Bpureau at 354.6825.
