    Los Gatos United to co-host Major League soccer camp

    The Los Gatos United Soccer League, in cooperation with Major League Soccer, will host a Major League Soccer Camp Aug. 14-18 at Fisher Middle School.

    Camp hours are 5-6:30 p.m. for players ages 5-6, and the cost is $56 per player. For players over that age, camp hours are 5-8 p.m. and the cost is $97 per player.

    Each player receives an individual player evaluation, a Major League Soccer Camps T-shirt and ball, an MLS gift and a free companion ticket to an MLS game.

    Soccer Tryouts

    The Los Gatos Lightning, a boys under-11 select soccer team, will hold tryouts in Los Gatos on Aug. 1 and 2 at Oak Meadow Park, Aug. 4 at Fisher Middle School and Aug. 10 and 11 at Daves Avenue School. Tryouts begin at 7 p.m. each night.

    Coach David deMilo is looking for fast, skillful players from Los Gatos and Saratoga who are not on another CYSA roster, who were born between Aug. 1, 1989, and July 31, 1990, and who have a passion for the game. The team is especially interested in goalkeepers.

    Players Needed

    Two Los Gatos Metro boys soccer teams are looking for players for the upcoming select season.

    The Metro boys under-13 Class 1 team is looking for a field player and a goalkeeper, and the boys under-14 Class 1 team is looking for two field players.
