    Soccer camps

    Major League Soccer Camps will return to Los Gatos this summer for players in the under-6 through under-18 age divisions.

    Camps are slated for Aug. 13-17 at Fisher Middle School. The cost is $65 for players ages 5-6 (5-6:30 p.m.) and $105 for players ages 7-18 (4-7 p.m.), and players will receive a soccer ball, camp T-shirt and a voucher for a San Jose Earthquakes game.

    National record

    A masters team set a new national record in the 4-mile relay at the All-Comers Track and Field meet held last Thursday on the Los Gatos track.

    The foursome, running for the Reebok Aggies, ran 18:01.5 to break the old mark of 18:08 in the 40-and-over division. Members of the quartet included: Joe Fabris (4:32.1), Tim Minor (4:32.6), Kevin Ostenberg (4:27.6) and Steve Haase (4:29.2).

    Fall Ball

    The Los Gatos Little League is currently holding signups for the Fall Ball season. Boys and girls ages 8-12 are eligible and the season begins in early September. Players receive a cap and T-shirt. Contact Mark Raynaud at m_raynaud@hotmail.com or 408.799.4351

    All-Comer meets

    Los Gatos will host the 22nd annual series of summer All-Comer Track and Field meets on the high school track.

    Meets are slated for Thursday evenings (Aug. 9 and 16). Pole vault competition begins at 5 p.m. with the rest of the field events getting under way at 5:30 p.m. Track events begin at 6 p.m.

    The entry fee is $3 for unlimited events, and the cost is $2 for spectators.
