Fall Baseball

For teenagers who didn't get enough baseball through the spring and summer months, there are a couple of area baseball leagues now holding signups for the fall season for players ages 13-18.

Former De Anza Community College coach Terry Hardtke is holding signups for a fall ball league that begins Sept. 12 and is geared to high school-aged players. There will be divisions for varsity and junior varsity players. For more information, call 997-6868.

Another fall-winter baseball league will run Sept. 8-Dec. 6, with games played on five San Jose baseball diamonds. For more information on the program, call 287-4284.

Roller Hockey

Roller hockey players can find plenty to do this summer in leagues in different locations.

Weekday leagues, high school leagues, lessons and drop-in play are available at the NHL-sized outdoor Roosevelt Roller Rink, 21st and Santa Clara in San Jose. The cost is $2 for youth and $4 for adults. For information, call 286-0195.

For information on additional summer leagues for youth, high school teams and adults, call 629-2751.
