Police counseled both brothers. Suspicious person--July 30, 1:23 p.m., on Oak Park Drive. The caller complained of a man with a bottle in his hand who was harassing people at the park. He was gone when police arrived, and they could not locate him. Harassing phone calls--July 30, 4:12 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. The caller received an obscene and threatening phone call at work. Police took a report. Suspicious circumstances--July 30, 9:58 p.m., on Penn Way. The caller's daughter heard secondhand that a man whose last name she knew was going to rob the house. Police on that beat were notified and kept an eye on the house. Driving under the influence--July 31, 1:30 a.m., at S. Santa Cruz Avenue and Broadway. Following a traffic stop, police arrested a woman for DUI. Auto burglary--July 31, 6:44 a.m., on Quito Road. Someone slashed the top of the caller's convertible; the caller was not sure what items were stolen. Police took a report. Malicious mischief--July 31, 8:59 p.m., on Newville Drive. Three to five boys on rollerblades threw eggs at the caller's window and skated away. Police searched the area but did not find them. Noisy dog--July 31, 10:27 p.m. on Garden Lane. The caller complained of a dog barking continuously for two hours. Police contacted and counseled the dog owner. Disturbance--Aug. 1, 1:06 p.m., on Hicks Road. A possibly transient man was begging for money and appeared intoxicated. Police contacted the man, counseled him and sent him on his way. Shots fired--Aug. 2, 1:07 a.m., at Vista Del Monte and Worcester Lane. The caller heard two possible gunshots, followed by two more shots, coming from the vicinity of Worcester Lane. Police searched the area but saw and heard nothing suspicious. Neighborhood disturbance--Aug. 2, 1:31 a.m., on Summit Way. The caller complained of loud music at a nearby residence. Police counseled the noisy neighbors, who turned down the music and shut their windows. Alarm--Aug. 2, 8:36 a.m., on Daves Avenue. Police responded to a residential alarm and discovered housecleaners had accidentally activated it. Traffic hazard--Aug. 2, 9:39 a.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. The caller notified police of an errant duck walking along the street and holding up traffic. The bird was gone when police arrived. Driving under the influence--Aug. 2, 9:19 p.m., at Harwood Avenue and Blossom Hill Road. Following a traffic stop, police arrested a man for DUI. Malicious mischief--Aug. 3, 9:09 a.m., on Johnson Avenue. Someone broke a window on the caller's truck, but nothing was stolen. Police took a report. Disturbance--Aug. 3, 7:27 p.m., on Olive Street. A woman called police to report a verbal fight with another individual over child custody, then hung up. Police contacted and counseled both parties. Theft--Aug. 3, 7:30 p.m., on Lark Avenue. Someone stole both license plates from the caller's car, which was parked in a lot. Police took a report. Alarm--Aug. 4, 9:43 a.m., on Belmont Avenue. Police responded to a residential alarm and discovered two cats who had likely set it off. Accident--Aug. 4, 11:57 a.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. Police took a report at the site of a two-car collision. They also radioed for paramedic response because one driver complained of back pain. Drunk in public--Aug. 4, 3:43 p.m., on University Avenue. A woman who appeared very intoxicated was threatening to kill everyone in a business, although the caller saw no weapons. Police arrested the woman for public drunkenness. Stolen vehicle--Aug. 5, 3:39 p.m., on S. Santa Cruz Avenue. The caller's car was stolen within the last two days. Police took a report. Residential burglary--Aug. 5, 4:57 p.m., on Calle Marguerita. Someone broke a window in the caller's home, gained entry and stole $2,000 in cash. The caller had possible suspect information. Police took a report. Suspicious circumstances--Aug. 5, 9:47 p.m. on Los Gatos Boulevard. The caller felt she was being followed by the driver--possibly a man--of a yellow truck. The truck was later found parked in a lot off the boulevard. The caller requested extra patrols around her home in case the truck driver knew where she lived. Disturbance--Aug. 6, 12:15 a.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. A group of individuals were hanging out in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant and making noise. Police contacted them and sent them on their way. Trespassing--Aug. 6, 11:34 a.m., on Pinehurst Avenue. The caller's former boyfriend entered her residence through a window, and the two got into an argument. Police took a report, although the ex was gone when they arrived.
