Roller Hockey
The Los Gatos roller hockey team is looking for players to participate in the high school fall season at Rollin' Ice in San Jose. Games are played Friday nights beginning with a practice game on Sept. 7, and the league season runs from Sept. 14 through November.
Games and practices are held at Rollin' Ice at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. For more information, call Los Gatos coach Randy Frey at 408.356.1424.
Kucklick at Walsh
Ruth Kucklick, a Los Gatos High graduate, has accepted a scholarship to play volleyball at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, this fall.
Kucklick, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, earned three letters in volleyball as a Wildcat. She helped the Cats get into the Central Coast Section finals three times, and she was a member of the Los Gatos team that won CCS and Northern California titles last fall.
Kucklick, the daughter of Ted and Anne Kucklick, played five years of for the Vision Volleyball club, helping the squad advance to the junior national tournament three times.
She is a pre-physical therapy major at Walsh.
Los Gatos Fall Ball
The Los Gatos Little League is currently holding signups for the Fall Ball season. Boys and girls ages 8-12 are eligible and the season begins in early September. Players receive a cap and T-shirt. Contact Mark Raynaud at m_raynaud@hotmail.com or 408.799.4351
Volleyball League
The United States Youth Volleyball League will begin an eight-week league season for on Sept. 11 at Houge Park in San Jose.
