Assisted living director earns a promotion

Alexander Candalla, director of assisted living at The Terraces of Los Gatos, was appointed in June to serve as the assistant administrator for the senior retirement community. Candalla holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy and a master's degree in gerontology. He is licensed by the Nursing Home Administration and belongs to the American College of Health Care Administrators. He has also worked in the minority affairs department with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
