Jim Cunneen holds Town Hall meeting

Assemblymember Jim Cunneen will visit the Saratoga Library Community Room on Aug. 24, 9:30-10:30 a.m., to hear his constituents' comments on issues facing California.

Starbucks planned at Byer Center

The Development Review Committee on Aug. 13 unanimously approved the request of Paja Investments to allow a Starbucks coffeehouse at the new Byer Center building.

Starbucks was previously told it couldn't locate downtown, so the Seattle-based chain decided to try setting up shop in the well-known domed building at Blossom Hill Road and Los Gatos Boulevard.

No further steps to do so are required by the town.

Terrano de Flores gets zoning change

The Town Council on Aug. 5 unanimously voted to change the zoning at 14960 Terrano de Flores Lane to allow up to 13 houses, rather than the four under current zoning.

The owner plans to ask for permission to build 16 units, including three below-market-price units.
