Planners reject Yuki design again

Los Gatos planning commissioners, still not satisfied with the amount of open space proposed within the 24-unit development on the former Yuki orchard, created an ad hoc committee to help Cupertino Development Corp. with their design.

The commission wants a large, open lawn in the middle of the project. The developer maintains that the current proposal would leave half the land open.

The ad hoc committee, consisting of Sandy Decker, Len Pacheco and Laura Nachison, will meet some time in September.
