    Alleged child molester will meet with judge

    Longtime Los Gatan Joseph "Jack" Wagner, 48, charged with four counts of child molestation, is scheduled for an early resolution conference on Sept. 24. Wagner will meet with Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Edgar P. Taylor and the prosecution to discuss potential sentencing options if he decides to enter a plea.

    Wagner was arrested on July 20 and is charged with lewd and lascivious acts and prohibited acts on two different girls, both family friends under the age of 14.

    Chamber of Commerce holds mixer

    On Sept. 13, the Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly After-Hours Business Mixer at Pinnacle Fitness on Los Gatos Boulevard. The mixer, held from 5:30 to 7 p.m., will cost Chamber members $5 and non-members $10. Refreshments and tours of the facilities will be provided.

    Saratoga holds annual street party Saturday

    The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce's annual street party, Celebrate Saratoga!, kicks off Sept. 15 at 5:30 p.m. on Big Basin Way in the Village. The event features six local bands and a host of restaurants and wineries that will serve their specialties during the festival. Attendees can park at either Saratoga High School or the Argonaut Shopping Center and a free shuttle will provide transport up to the party.
