Town rejects Mariposa Montessori proposal

    Town Council

    Sept. 20: Council considers:

    * Funding Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, which has asked the town to help it fund its operations in the county because of budget shortfalls. The center asked for about $4,000 in February, but the town didn't fund the request. (354-6834 for information)

    Planning Commission

    Sept. 22: Commission considers:

    * A request to modify a use permit that allows alcohol service with meals at Baker's Square, 165 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road.

    * Alternate use of parking at 652, 654, 656 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Applicant wants to use apartment parking as commercial parking during normal business hours.

    Sept. 22, 6 p.m.

    These meetings will all take place in the Town Council Chambers.
