Police Report

Vandalism--Sept. 8, 6:48 a.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. An unknown person slashed a resident's car tires with a knife.

Petty Theft--Sept. 7, 11:46 a.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. A juvenile took a fanny pack and an iron skillet from a drugstore.

Vandalism--Sept. 6, 10:40 p.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. Several teenagers were seen leaving the area where a garbage can was set on fire.

Vandalism--Sept. 6, 8:09 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A business owner reported graffiti on her business windows. She told police she believes the graffiti is a gang insignia and would like pictures taken.

Drunk in Public--Sept. 6, 7:31 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A 30-year-old male was harassing customers. Police discovered he had an outstanding warrant and arrested him.

Fraud--Sept. 6, 4:42 p.m., on Oka Road. A resident reported that the person she sold a car to for $1,000 had stopped payment on the check. The victim has been trying to contact the suspect for eight days without any luck.

Threats--Sept. 5, 7:52 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller said a man was yelling at a 3-year-old and threatening to "beat her" if she "didn't shut up." The caller said the man also grabbed the girl by the arm. Police counseled the man and sent him on his way.

Possession of Marijuana--Sept. 4, 1:15 p.m., on High School Court. A teen-ager was found in possession of marijuana and a pocket knife.

Fraud--Sept. 3, 12:45 p.m. on Grandview Avenue. A resident had a check stolen that was later altered from $57 to $4,000. The caller has a copy of the canceled check.

Vandalism--Sept. 2, 11:09 a.m., on Escobar Avenue. An unknown person took a hacksaw or some other item and sawed off a resident's sprinkler heads.
