Author puts aging in perspective

Nationally known author, humorist and NBC Today Show personality Frances Weaver will present "I'm Not as Old as I Used to Be," a special luncheon and lecture geared toward senior citizens at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at The Terraces of Los Gatos.

The Colorado resident started writing in her 50s, then went back to college after she was widowed. Her writing career began in 1978, when she submitted an article to Vogue magazine about her favorite pastime--flying kites. In 1984, she began what would become a decade-long syndicated newspaper column called "Midlife Musings."
