The newest incarnation of Steven Spielberg could be right around a Los Gatos corner. He's Cary Cremidas and his 28-minute film 'Dickory Dock' was accepted by the Hollywood Film Festival in August. This is no small feat, since only 40 were chosen of 800 films submitted. Of those, 20 were full-length features and 20 were--like his entry--shorts. Only one award is given in each category at the festival, the "best of" award. Although he did not win, The 'Dickory Dock' trailer (a preview of the film) had already won a Joey from the San Jose Film Festival for lighting and camera work. And Cremidas has found that being selected for the festival has been a big help opening doors for him.
