Police seek robbery suspects

Robbers did a little transacting of their own at a local Bank of America last week. Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police officials report that a strong-arm robbery occurred near 216 Nicholson Ave. on Sept. 16 at 12:54 p.m.

Sgt. Michael Barbieri said a woman had just completed an ATM transaction at the Bank of America located at N. Santa Cruz and Almendra avenues and was walking back to her car on Nicholson when the incident occurred. Two suspects, possibly in their 20s, grabbed the woman's purse and ran off, Barbieri said. The purse was later found emptied on Almendra Avenue.

Barbieri said the suspects were seen fleeing the area in a late '90s-model Chevrolet or GMC turquoise extended cab pickup truck. He added that the woman was able to get a partial California license plate of 4PG-486. Police request that anyone with any information on this incident contact the investigations bureau at 354-6825.
