Hockey dinner

The Los Gatos girls' field hockey team will host a steak dinner on Oct. 17, 5-7:30 p.m., in the patio room adjacent to the small gym at the high school. The cost is $12 and includes steak, salad, beans, dessert, coffee and soda. Tickets are available through any of the Los Gatos field hockey players.

Hall of Fame Classic

San Jose State University baseball stars of the past Rich Guardino (1974-77) and Chris Pedretti (1978-79) will be the inductees during ceremonies at the 12th annual Spartan Baseball Hall of Fame Golf Classic Oct. 24 at the Santa Clara Golf Course.

The tourney begins with registration at 11 a.m., a putting contest at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost for the best ball scramble is $140 and includes a cart, green fees, tee prizes, lunch and dinner. The cost is $45 for the dinner only. The reservation deadline is Oct. 13.

Punt, Pass and Kick

The annual NFL Punt, Pass and Kick contest will be held Sept. 28, 3 p.m., at Camden Park. The free contest is open to boys and girls ages 8-15 (as of Dec. 31, 1997). For more information, call 277-5556.

Baseball reunion
