Chamber mixer at Chart House
The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce will help the Chart House restaurant celebrate the opening of its new outside deck with a Business After Hours Mixer on Sept. 28.
The mixer runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the cost is $5 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Guests can participate in a raffle, as well as enjoy food and drink while networking with other members of the business community.
Following the Chamber mixer, the general public is invited to an auction of Chart House memorabilia. All auction proceeds will go to A Place for Teens.
The Chart House is at 115 N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Call 408.354.9300 for information.
Compost 101
An Oct. 7 county-sponsored composting class will provide alternatives to throwing all that organic waste into the garbage can.
The free class is offered by the Solid Waste Commission of Santa Clara County and taught by certificated master composters.
The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Los Gatos Community Center on East Main Street. To register or for more information, call 408.299.4147.
