Police Report
Resisting Arrest--Sept. 25, 11:54 a.m. A Belmont Avenue resident reported two subjects in an SUV in front of Bachman Park, who appeared to be having sex. Police determined that the two were truants. The two resisted being arrested, but police managed to get them into custody. Police left a message on the woman's father's answering machine.
Juvenile Disturbance--Sept. 25, 2:03 p.m. At one of the cottages in Eastfield Ming Quong, staff was restraining one of the children. The juvenile had been out of control at school, stabbing another student and stealing someone's CD player. The probation officer said that the child should be returned to juvenile hall. The stabbing occurred at Beacon School in San Jose, but San Jose police were not notified, though it was in their jurisdiction. Eastfield Ming Quong had terminated the juvenile's residency.
Citizen Assistance--Sept. 25, 2:39 p.m. At the Community Hospital of Los Gatos, a van, still running, with babies inside, was in the parking lot. The driver was locked out of the vehicle. Fire personnel and a AAA tow truck was en route to help the driver get into the van. Firefighters were able to open the door.
Battery--Sept. 25, 6:57 p.m. A woman was running on Los Gatos Creek Trail one-quarter mile south of Main Street. She was grabbed from behind by a male runner who was following her up to the dam. She managed to get away; the suspect was last seen going toward Main Street. The woman called police from Steamer's, but she declined medical attention. Police were unable to locate the man on the trail, who was described as being a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with a medium build. The victim said that he was blond with light blue eyes, a clear complexion and freckles, and clean-shaven. A report was filed.
