Library seeking study volunteers

Los Gatos Library is looking for input on a possible expansion plan, and is seeking residents who want to participate in community surveys and focus-group discussions. Consultants currently preparing a library-needs assessment study are gathering library-usage data and community demographics.

The study will determine the kinds of library services residents think they will need over the next 20 years, and how much space will be needed to provide those services. The library building is being analyzed to see whether the current space is adequate.

The results of the study, which is being funded by the Friends of the Library, will be turned into a recommendation by the library board and forwarded to the Town Council.

The meetings last two hours and are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and on Friday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

For information, call Gloria Grimes at 354-6895.
