Big win for Cats

The Los Gatos girls volleyball team nailed a big win last week, knocking off powerful Monta Vista in three straight games.

The Wildcats whipped the Matadors 15-13, 15-7, 15-9 in the De Anza Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League.

Los Gatos competed in the rugged Mitty National Invitational tournament last weekend and, while the Wildcats did not figure among the top placers, outside hitter Amy Grabill was named to the all-tournament team.

Cats fall to Mats

The Los Gatos girls tennis team lost a tough 5-2 decision to Monta Vista in league play last week. The Cats are now 3-2 in the rugged De Anza Division of the SCVAL.
