Schedule Change

There has been a change in plans for the Los Gatos and Saratoga football teams.

They'll still meet next week in a key game in De Anza Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League to continue their long-standing rivalry--they just won't meet on the night listed in their season schedules.

The Los Gatos-Saratoga varsity football game will be played on Oct. 9, 6:30 p.m., following a 4:15 p.m. frosh-soph game.

The two games were moved from Friday to Thursday because of Yom Kippur.

Spartan Hall of Fame Classic

San Jose State University baseball stars of the past Rich Guardino (1974-77) and Chris Pedretti (1978-79) will be the inductees during ceremonies at the 12th annual Spartan Baseball Hall of Fame Golf Classic Oct. 24 at the Santa Clara Golf Course.

The tourney begins with registration at 11 a.m., a putting contest at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost for the best ball scramble is $140 and includes a cart, green fees, tee prizes, lunch and dinner. The cost is $45 for the dinner only. The reservation deadline is Oct. 13.

For information, call Scott Hertler at 924-1254.
