Election information available online

Voters who want to find out about local candidates and statewide propositions can now get information on at least two Websites.

The guide contains links to more than 100 campaign-sponsored Web sites and offers information on local council races, state ballot propositions and legislative contests, congressional races and the presidential election. It can be found at the address: http://www.calvoter.org

Another site offers objective profiles of candidates in local races; Smart Voter Candidate Profiles can be found at: http://www.smartvoter.org.

Cunneen gets local support

Assemblyman Jim Cunneen announced Sept. 30 that he's been endorsed by every member of the Los Gatos Town Council.

Cunneen, a Republican, seeks re-election in California's 24th Assembly district and is opposed by Democrat Ed Foglia.

"We're proud to have 100 percent of the councilmembers," Cunneen said.

Cunneen said he also received the endorsement of Los Gatos Police Chief Larry Todd.
