The bride-to-be is a graduate of J.F. Webb High School in Oxford, N.C., and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a corporate recruiter for Headway Corporation in Newport Beach.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Saratoga High School and Boston University. He is an area sales manager with Peninsula Valve & Fitting Co. Inc. in Irving.
They plan an Oct. 27 wedding.

Jenny O'Brien and John Fales were married Aug. 17 at Grand Lido Braco, Jamaica.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Tina O'Brien of Pacifica and Victoria O'Brien of Kansas City, Mo. A graduate of Terra Nova High School, she is assistant to the chief operating officer of Mariner Systems, Inc., in San Mateo.
The groom is the son of Dolores Fales of Los Gatos and the late William Fales. A graduate of Los Gatos High School and California State University, Chico, he is a sales executive with Brainshark, Inc.
The couple resides in Redwood Shores.
