Woman held at gunpoint in Los Gatos

A woman working late at Coldwell Banker on N. Santa Cruz Avenue was leaving the office at 1 a.m. on Oct. 4 when a man jumped out of the bushes and forced her inside the office at gunpoint. He tied up the victim inside, grabbed her car keys and looked through her purse, which was inside the car.

Police were unable to locate the suspect, a man described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds and around 40 years old. He had dirty blond hair, a round face, was clean-cut and had a neat appearance.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 408.354.8600.

    Home delivery dry cleaners approved

The Los Gatos Town Council on Oct. 1 approved the opening of Peninou French Laundry and Cleaners--a business specializing in drive-thru and complimentary home delivery service--on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. Some Montgomery Street residents had opposed the application, saying it would exacerbate the traffic and parking troubles in the area. Council members, however, approved the application with a six-month update on the traffic situation.
