Los Gatos Weekly-TimesTransient arrested for knife attackBy Michelle Alaimo A 72-year-old woman was attacked with a knife by her grandson on Oct. 3, Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department officials said. Capt. Duino Giordano said Caleb Seama, 23, was talking to his grandmother on W. Parr Avenue when he suddenly attacked her with a knife that was in his backpack. Seama has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and assaulting the elderly by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. "She received cuts and lacerations on both forearms that caused quite a bit of bleeding," Giordano said. "There was blood all over the apartment." He said the cuts on the forearms resembled those of someone defending herself. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she received a number of stitches and was later released. Seama's mother called 911, and police found him walking down W. Parr near Winchester Boulevard and arrested him. Seama is a transient with a history of problems, Giordano said. Seama is in custody in the Santa Clara County Jail awaiting trail.
