Los Gatos Police last week made an additional--and what they believe to be the final--arrest of an individual connected with an Aug. 23 pipe bomb incident in Los Gatos.
Following a month-long investigation of an unexploded pipe bomb found in a yard on Cherrystone Drive, Det. Jim McBrayer on Oct. 7 arrested Gary Stevenson, 26, of Pacifica, and booked him at the Santa Clara County jail on charges of building and possession of a destructive device with intent to injure or intimidate.
Stevenson's case is pending review by the district attorney's office.
Stevenson became a suspect during the course of the investigation, which led to the Sept. 27 arrest of Shawn Ray Knutson, 25, of San Jose. Knutson is charged with terrorist threats and wrongful possession of a destructive device with intent to injure and intimidate.
According to LGPD Sgt. Tricia Friedrich, Stevenson told police he had a hand in building the 10-inch pipe bomb found at the Cherrystone residence.
