    Baseball signups

    The Los Gatos Little League and Los Gatos Pony/Colt Baseball will hold signups for the 2002 season on Nov. 6 and 13, 7-9 p.m., in the gym at Fisher Middle School.

    Age levels are 5-12 for Little League baseball, 13-14 for Pony League and 15-16 for Colt League.

    Vidovich wins

    Mary Vidovich of Los Gatos was the women's champion at the Fine Arts 5K Run held Oct. 7 in Carmel.

    Vidovich ran 20:36 to claim the women's title. She ended up 29th overall in the 463-runner field.

    Eric Childs, also of Los Gatos, finished eighth overall and first in his age division. Childs ran 18:47 to claim a place in the top 10, and he was first in the men's 45-49 age division.

    Other top Los Gatos finishers included: Mahir Agha, 63rd overall in 23:39 and fifth in the men's 30-34 division; Sharon Childs, fourth in the women's 45-49 age group in 27:06; Taylor Pohlman, 10th in the men's 55-59 age group in 28:34; Sharyn Pohlman, 10th in the women's 40-44 age division in 28:37; and Jeff Rose, 12th in the men's 50-54 age group in 30:31.

    Siebel Champions

    John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors will renew their long-standing rivalry with a special singles match that will highlight the second annual Siebel Champions tennis tournament on Oct. 17-21 at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium at Stanford.

    McEnroe and Scott Davis, both former Stanford stars, will return for the event along with Connors, Mats Wilander, John Lloyd, Pat Cash, Henri Leconte and Petr Korda.
