Los Gatos Weekly-Times Registration for youth basketball begins Oct. 26 Registration is currently under way for boys and girls in grades 3-6 interested in playing youth basketball. The league, sponsored by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Department of Community Education and Recreation, will run Jan. 8-March 13, with games played on Saturdays in either Los Gatos High School or Fisher Middle School. Walk-in, mail-in and fax (395-3828) registration begins Oct. 26 at the recreation department office, 123 E. Main St. The registration deadline is Nov. 13. The fee of $65 includes a T-shirt and framed team picture. There is a $5 fee charged to those players who do not live within the recreation district. Practice begins the week of Dec. 7, and coaches will stress the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing and offensive and defensive maneuvers. For more information on the program, call 354-8700.
