Still, what people who live here say they like about Los Gatos is its old-fashioned charm. For weekend visitors and residents alike, Los Gatos represents what was really good about those good old days. In our annual Best of Los Gatos survey, readers told us that they value historic structures like the Fretwell Building, that the best neighborhood in town is one that generations of Los Gatans have admired--the Glenridge neighborhood with its fine Victorian homes. Not surprisingly, large numbers of our readers said the best place to impress visitors is downtown, a large part of which is in the town's historic district.
