Los Gatos Weekly-TimesNews BriefsLexington is site of moderate hike Greenbelt Alliance and Friends of Bear Creek Redwoods will explore Lexington Reservoir Saturday, Oct. 25, with a moderate 4.5-mile hike highlighted by panoramic views of the South Bay. The hike should last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hikers will lunch at the 1,253-foot summit of St. Joseph's hill. Along the trail, they'll visit the former Alma College site. Reservations are required; to join the hike, call 415/255-3233. Jack Lucas plans coffee with mayor Monte Sereno Mayor Jack Lucas will hold his last mayoral meeting with constituents Oct. 31 at 9:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 18041 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. Residents can discuss any matters of concern with Lucas. The meeting will be Lucas' final coffee meeting during his term as mayor. During the second council meeting in November, the council will be reorganized and new mayor named. Donate coats at Farmers' Market The Los Gatos Farmers' Market holds a coat drive on Oct. 26 to benefit InnVision, San Jose's largest year-round shelter. InnVision is dedicated to helping individuals and families along the road from poverty and homelessness to self-sufficiency. It offers short- and long-term housing and comprehensive support services. With the winter season on its way, InnVision needs a supply of clean, good-quality used coats and raincoats for men, women and children. All coats may be dropped off at the market's information booth. The Farmers' Market takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every Sunday at the Los Gatos Town Plaza.
