Police Report

Accident--Oct. 9, 2:09 p.m., at Highland Oaks Drive and Lark Avenue. Police took a report at the site of a collision between two cars and radioed for tow truck and paramedic response.

Alarm--Oct. 10, 10:53 a.m., on Andrews Court. Police responded to a residential alarm and discovered housecleaners had accidentally activated it.

Juvenile disturbance--Oct. 10, 3:18 p.m., on Union Avenue. The caller reported more than a dozen juveniles hanging out, throwing their backpacks and skateboarding. They were gone when police arrived.

Neighborhood disturbance--Oct. 10, 10:07 p.m., on Union Avenue. The caller complained of a loud party nearby. Police contacted the party hosts, who turned down their music and said the party was breaking up anyway.

Possible fight--Oct. 11, 10:56 a.m., on Blossom Hill Road. The caller saw two men running after each other and yelling at the rear of a shopping center. Police contacted both men and discovered they were employees of a nearby restaurant horsing around.

Person calling for help--Oct. 12, 12:19 a.m., on Pinehurst Avenue. The caller said she was awakened by sounds of someone screaming nearby. Police searched the area but did not see or hear anything suspicious.

Driving under the influence--Oct. 12, 12:43 a.m., at Winchester Boulevard and Lark Avenue. Following a traffic stop, police arrested a man for DUI.

Malicious mischief--Oct. 12, 10:06 a.m., on University Avenue. Someone scratched the caller's car with keys while it was parked in front of an apartment building. Police took a report.

Drunk in public--Oct. 12, 3:24 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. While on patrol, police noticed a man who appeared intoxicated near the rear of a bar. They contacted him and arrested him for public drunkenness.

Speeding--Oct. 13, 9:40 a.m., on Bacigalupi Drive. The caller wanted police to be aware that many vehicles speed down the hill on this street, especially during morning and afternoon commute hours. Police will give the area extra patrol checks.
