Youth Basketball

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department will hold youth basketball sign-ups through Nov. 17 at the Recreation Center, 123 E. Main St., for boys and girls in grades 3-8.

The season runs Jan. 3- March 7, and the registration fee for the 10-week season is $65 per player. All players receive a team jersey and photo. Games are played on Saturdays at Los Gatos High School and Fisher Middle School.

Players will learn the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing, offensive and defensive maneuvers and teamwork.

The league is also looking for volunteer coaches for the upcoming season. For information, call 354-8700.

Quito Little League signups

The Quito Little League will hold sign-ups for the 1998 season on Nov. 12, 18 and 20, 6:30- 9 p.m. each night, in room PE1 at Rolling Hills Middle School on Pollard Road at More.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 5-12 (as of July 31, 1998). Players must provide a PG&E bill for proof of residency and a birth certificate for proof of age at the registration. An $80 donation is requested.

Lacrosse Club meeting

The Tomahawks Lacrosse Club will hold a registration and informational meeting on Oct. 21, 7:15 p.m., in room C3 at Jordan Middle School, 750 N. California, Palo Alto.

The club is open to all students in grades 4-12 living on the peninsula. Players of all ages are needed, and no experience is necessary.

Practice begins in January with games played from March through May. For more information, call 1-650-962-1455.
