Los Gatos Weekly-Times Sports Briefs Pony-Colt signups The Los Gatos Pony-Colt baseball league will hold signups for players ages 13-16 on Nov. 10 and 17, 7-9 p.m. each night, in the cafeteria at Fisher Middle School. Cushing at Notre Dame Beth Cushing, a 1998 graduate of Los Gatos High, is a member of the women's varsity crew team at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Cushing, who competed locally for the Los Gatos Rowing Club, is rowing the stroke seat on the women's varsity eight for the Fighting Irish. Girls Softball Signups The Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls Softball Association will hold signups on Nov. 10 and 17, 6-9 p.m., at Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos and Nov. 19, 6-9 p.m.,at Argonaut School in Saratoga. The registration fee is $100 per players, and youngsters must provide proof of age. Stanford Baseball Camps A series of Stanford holiday baseball camps will be offered in November and December. Hitting and defensive instruction will be offered over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-29, and there will be pitching, hitting and defensive camps over Christmas vacation on Dec. 20-22 and Dec. 27-29.
