"Under the Big Top," the 42nd annual Bellarmine Mothers' Guild Fashion Show, takes place Nov. 1 in the Imperial Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. The circus-themed event is a benefit for the Bellarmine Scholarship Endowment Fund, which provides financial aid for more than 100 students every year.
Fashions by Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco will be modeled by Bellarmine College Preparatory students, including Los Gatans Scott Basham and Cameron Zeidler and Monte Sereno resident Salvador Trinidad.
Among the mothers active in Bellarmine activities are Los Gatos/ Monte Sereno residents Marilyn Basham, fashion show table-array coordinator and mothers' guild board member; Linda Evjen, invitation-program logo creator; Molly Fumia, mothers' guild; Karrie Grasser, mothers' guild; May Raft, mothers' guild; and Linda Zeidler, fashion show adviser and mothers' guild.
The luncheon event comprises cocktails at 11 a.m., lunch at noon and a fashion show at 1:15 p.m. Cost is $60. The dinner event begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., dinner and fashion show at 7:30 p.m. followed by dancing to the Joe Sharino Band. Cost is $95. Black tie optional.
