    The Clifornia Youth Symphony

    Local Talent

    The California Youth Symphony, conducted by Maestro Leo Eylar, opens its new concert season with two performances: Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Flint Center in Cupertino and Nov. 21 at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center. The program includes Violin Concerto No. 5 by Vieuxtemps, Porgy and Bess Suite by Gershwin/Bennett and Excerpts From Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. Among the CYS's 100 pre-teen and teenage performers are Monte Sereno residents Kimberly Kanada and Jenny Yao and Los Gatan Lisa Hwang.
