So some enthusiastic campaigners thought nothing of posting campaign signs for Monte Sereno City Council candidates in neighboring Los Gatos--unfortunately in places where Los Gatos doesn't like signs. When town employees found Monte Sereno campaign signs in such places as the public right-of-way--on street signs, lamp posts or planter boxes--they confiscated the placards and say they'll bill the candidates $50 per sign for sign removal.
