On the Backroads Through Los Gatos

KRON-TV's 'Bay Area Backroads' visited Los Gatos last week and enjoyed a tour provided by longtime Los Gatans Ted Simonson, principal of Los Gatos High School, and MarLynn Rasmussen, senior deputy town clerk. The names of the two came up when researchers for the show began asking for names of Los Gatans who knew the town well. On Nov. 1, the film crew met up with the two on the front lawn of Los Gatos High School. From there, they toured the town, with stops along the way in such places as Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Co., Forbes Mill Museum, the Cats restaurant, C.B. Hannegan's, the Almond Grove neighbrhood and the Novitiate. At various stops, Rasmussen and Simonson chatted about the spots. The show aired last Sunday evening.
