Main St., invites the community to a free lecture, "The Law of God Heals," at 8 p.m. on Nov. 13. Mark Swinney of Albuquerque, N.M., a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, explores how the law of divine love brings joy to daily life. He will also discuss how Christian Science founder Mary Baker Eddy's commitment to divine love helped her to love with Christian compassion when faced with suffering. Afterward, Swinney will explain how this divine love operates and how it gives permanence to relationships. Swinney, a consulting editor with the Christian Science Publishing Society, grew up in Northern California and graduated from UC-Davis. He is the father of two children.
