Los Gatos Weekly-TimesSports BriefsCaminiti in town San Diego Padres star Ken Caminiti, the 1996 National League MVP, will be in Los Gatos on Nov. 16, 1 p.m., to sign autographs for fans at Collector's Corner II, 481 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Caminiti, who started at third base for the National League all-star team this past summer, began his playing career here as a high school star at Leigh. Autographs are priced at $5 for children 12 and under, and $10 for all others. All proceeds will be donated to the Leigh baseball program. For more information, call 395-5332. 22nd Annual Turkey Trot The 22nd annual Turkey Trot Fun Run returns to Vasona Park on Nov. 16, 9:30 a.m., when runners of all ages will compete in the race co-sponsored by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department and the Los Gatos Athletic Assocation. Runners in the first-third grades will cover a .6-mile course, with fourth-sixth graders running 1.1 miles, junior high runners, 1.4 miles, and runners high school age and above, 2.4 miles. There will be divisions for runners from high school to age 25, 26-39 and 40 and over. The preregistration fee is $12 for grade school-age runners and $14 for runners junior high age and older. Fee includes a race T-shirt. Race day registration cost is $6 and $7 and does not include a T-shirt. Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. on race day, with the first race at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call 354-8700. Softball Signups The Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls Softball Association will hold signups for the 1998 season on Nov. 12 and 19, 7-9 p.m. each night, at Fisher Middle School.
