The Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley holds its holiday blanket and towel drive Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 to provide a little extra warmth and security for the homeless animals residing at the shelter during the winter months. The shelter seeks to augment its supplies with quilts, blankets, sheets, fluffy towels or other linen products in satisfactory condition.
The nonprofit Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley is the largest animal shelter on the West Coast and has an "open door" policy through which no animal is turned away. Donations may be brought to the society at 2530 Lafayette St. in Santa Clara; it is open 24 hours a day. For more information, call 727-3383.
