Girls Softball

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls' Softball Association will hold signups for girls ages 7-14 on Nov. 20, 7-9 p.m., at Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos, and on Nov. 21, 7-9 p.m., and Nov. 23, 10 a.m.-noon, at Argonaut School in Saratoga.

The league offers divisions for players ages 8-and-under, 10-and-under, 12-and-under and 14-and-under.

The cost is $100 per player, $80 for each additional family member. Players must provide a birth certificate.

Little League Signups

The Los Gatos Little League will hold signups for the 1997 season on Nov. 20, 7-9 p.m., in the cafeteria at Fisher Middle School.

Youngsters ages 5-12 (as of July 31, 1997) are eligible for the league. Proof of age is required and a September, October or November PG&E or water bill must be provided to prove residency.

The registration donation is $95 for the first child from a family and $75 for each additional child (with a maximum family donation of $200). The t-ball donation is $75 per child.

Turkey Trot

Run away with that Thanksgiving turkey by taking part in the Toys for Tots Turkey Trot on Nov. 24, 8 a.m., at Moffett Field in Sunnyvale. The event features 5K and 10K courses. For more information, call 286-6501.

Redwood School needs coaches

Redwood Middle School in Saratoga is looking for soccer, basketball and volleyball coaches. Anyone interested should call the school at 867-1635, ext. 240.

Coaching Class

Francisco Maturana, assistant coach for the San Jose Clash, will serve as the instructor at a soccer coaching seminar for serious club and high-school coaches.

The seminar will be held Dec. 2-7, 6-8:30 p.m. each night, at Homestead High School.
