Elks finish with win
The Elks blanked the Huskies 3-0 to wrap up the season with a 7-3-1 record, good for second place in the boys' under-12 recreational division of the Los Gatos United Soccer League.
Tommy Morrissey knocked in a first-half goal to give the Elks a 1-0 lead at intermission, and Patrick Lynch and Geoff Frey each scored insurance goals in the second half.
Luke Jenkins and Adam Hudson were defensive stars for the Elks in the win.
The Badgers posted an 8-3 record to win the division title with the Elks second and the Bucks (5-4-1) third.
Kick, Punt Clinic
Aaron Mills, a former kicker for Stanford and the San Jose Sabercats, will host a winter kicking and punting clinic on Dec. 7-8, 1-5 p.m. each day, at West Valley College in Saratoga. The cost is $150 per player. For more information, call Mills at 702-746-3863.
Coaching Seminar
Francisco Maturana, assistant coach for the San Jose Clash soccer team, will serve as the instructor at a soccer coaching seminar for serious club and high school coaches.

Vikes split at state
Lance Campbell (Los Gatos) pitched in five goals in two games, but the West Valley Community College water polo team could manage just a split in its first two games at the state championships.
Campbell scored four goals, and Cody Cannon added three to lead the Vikings to a 12-9 win over Merced. Bryan Traverso chipped in with two goals in the victory and Soro Salerno, Luka Dvornik and John Etheridge (Los Gatos) scored one each.
The Vikes, 25-8 for the year, lost a 9-3 decision to Grossmont. Campbell, Cannon and Chris Spencer (Lynbrook) scored goals for West Valley.
