David LaRoche of San Jose and Kathryn LaRoche of Fremont announce the engagement of their daughter, Adrienne Anne LaRoche, to Ronald August Baumer, son of Ronald S. Baumer and Laurie A. Switzer, both of Spokane, Wash.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Independence High School and San Jose State University. She works as a marketing consultant with SK Consulting, San Jose.
Her fiancé, a resident of Los Gatos, is a graduate of Branham High School and UC-Davis. He works as a sales program manager with Kana Communications, Palo Alto.
They plan an April 2000 wedding.

Rose Whitefield of San Jose and Joel and Sydney Avey of Los Gatos announce the engagement of their children, Victoria Riddlebarger and Devin Avey.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Leland High School and San Jose State University. She is enrolled in the teacher credential program at SJSU.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Los Gatos High School. He attends Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley and serves as the office manager of Bill's Tree Service.
The couple plans a June 2000 wedding.
